Covid 19 - Spring Booster 2026 - Patient Information

NHS England's new commissioning arrangements for the 2026 COVID-19 vaccination programme were intended to allow GP Practices to offer vaccinations locally at Practice level for patient convenience.  However, after careful consideration and evaluation of the programme, out practie has chosen not to sign up as we believe the service specification places significant operational, staffing and financial demands on our Practice.

Due to these constraints, and the need to ensure we can continue to provide safe routine care for all our patients, our practice is not able to deliver the COVID-19 vaccination programme for Spring 2026.

Alternative arrangements are being made by the NHS locally, and eligible patinets will be invited to receive their vaccination through local pharmacies or other community vaccination providers.  Previously we have benefitted from support from our GP fedaration - GP Health Partners, but the new commissioning rules mean they are unable to provide this to practices who have signed up.

You do not need to contact the practice or GP Health Partners to arrange your COVID-19 vaccination.  You can check you eligibility and local providers here;
